WISQ February 2010

WISQ this month was at Cindy’s house.  I had been looking forward to it, since I’d been having a tough week.  Quilting comraderie was just what the doctor ordered.

I know I’m repeating myself, but we had great show and tell.  It’s true.

Karen’s Star Quilt:

Karen’s Carolina Crossroads from Quiltville.

Karen’s Glad Creations Mystery renamed a Dash of Hope.

I got a chance to show off my Quilted Treasure Block of the Month quilt.  It’s the first (BOM) I’ve completely finished.

Shirley, you outdid yourself.  I love the polka dots.

This is Mary Beth’s quilt from the book Laps from Fats.

Another from Mary Beth called Steps to the Stars (or something like that), a Glad Creations mystery quilt.  Loved this quilt, but Glad doesn’t usually disappoint.

A runner from Jelly Rolls, by Cathy.

. . . and the back.

Cathy again.

. . . and a bag by Cathy.

Adele’s little quilt.

Adele’s quilt purchased by her friends when she couldn’t come on retreat.  Isn’t that what friends are for?

Another from the Bag Lady.

Cindy’s baby quilt does not look as impressive in the photo as in person.  It’s really charming.  The colors are just the right shades – subdued but not too much.  Perfect baby colors.  It’s a pattern by Mary Wilberg at Quilted Treasures.

Pillowcases for our charity quilts.  7 from Claudia, 3 from Mary and 3 from Cathy.

A little knitting lesson took place.

Then the nine patch exchange.

Round and round the table we went.

Ooh la la, a naughty knitting book.  Who brought that?

Cindy made her fabulous chocolate sauce for dessert with a little ice cream.  Yum O.
